The Six-Fold Goal
The Six-Fold Goal was coined by Edred Thorsson in his book, A Book of Troth. This modern ethical code is by no means a requirement for heathenry, it is rather a healthy code to live your life by. Whether this is right for you is up to no-one but yourself.
The Six-Fold Goal:
Right - This concept encourages you to be right in all your actions. It encourages equality, good judgement, justice, and proper conduct.
Wisdom - This goal is reached by continually learning from life's lessons and applying that knowledge in the future. Always strive to gain wisdom and better your education and knowledge of all things.
Might - The concept of might is split in two parts, Victory and Defense. Always have a way to defend yourself and others, always strive for nothing more than victory. By doing this your prove your worth and empower yourself.
Harvest - The Harvest is the reaping of what you've sown in life, and encouraging the cycle of life. You can manifest this goal by continuing your family name, or simply gardening and being conscience of the health of the Earth.
Frith - You can reach this goal by promoting peace and good standing in your relationships, and striving to uphold that sense of peace in yourself and with those in your life.
Love - This one is simple. Love. Love yourself, your family, your friends, and your gods.
